Ice use is not all the same: differences in crystal methamphetamine use in Queensland

Overview

 

Amphetamine-type stimulants (ATS) are not new, but crystal methamphetamine, or ice, is a substance of rising concern, with National and State-based task forces working to formulate responses. The issues are multiple and complex, as noted by the National Ice Taskforce’s interim report. Key action areas include law enforcement, primary prevention and access to treatment. Strategies to address these areas will need to target specific local and population needs.
